In general, we don’t usually recommend non slip grip for 9x12 rugs, but there’s one exception to this rule: thin and lightweight rugs like flatweaves. Especially if the rug will be in a high traffic area.

Excellent felt rug pad

Carpet Lock is the only pad we would suggest for wall-to-wall carpet. Nothing else will work in our experience. This is a 7/16" thick felt and natural rubber pad that fixes itself tightly to carpet fibers to keep rugs flat and stable.

I have a 9'x 12' rug and want to know if it will slip if I use the Eco Plush pad. There will be a table and some living room chairs on top of the rug. I purchased Superior Lock, and it does a good job of holding the rug down, but it is not very plush.
If you are going to have furniture anchoring down your rug then Eco Plush will be okay. I would recommend the 1/4" thickness because you wouldn't want it to be too elevated. You could also consider Superior Lock 7/16" thickness. This would definitely give your rug a plusher feel.

We are going to order two pads but won't be using them until our floors are refinished. So storage is a concern. How are the pads shipped? Our rugs are approximately 9 x 12 feet and we need them to be rolled.
We ship via UPS and the pads will be folded and rolled. Due to shipping constraints, we would not be able to send a 9' x 12' pad at full width.
